Romania Has Won Against Gabriel Resources over Roșia Montană. I Hoped for This. I Believed It
This is the reason why I have been saying for at least 10 days that the press has consistently pursued a filthy policy against the interests of the Romanian state on the subject of Roșia Montană.
This very evening the whole press was announcing with pomp that it would make public the “documents” demonstrating why Romania was going to lose.
“Boloș had even floated the option of beginning the exploitation…” Ciolacu even wanted a referendum… Ponta and the rest were the lawyers of Gabriel Resources in the studios… proof of treason at the highest level!
Only that Romania did not lose!
Gabriel Resources lost!
And the Press lost… once again it demonstrated that it “works for money”, like a filthy whore; that it worked for one side, and that side was not the Romanian state!
I am absolutely convinced that Gabriel Resources paid a great deal of money to hire the “press” as the undertaker of this case, as the undertaker of the Romanian state — the state that was going to “pay 6.6 billion dollars to Gabriel Resources”!
QED!
The press is the cancer of our world!
Postscript: congratulations to the team of lawyers who represented the Romanian state! They deserve every last leu of the fee they invoiced!
Post-postscript: here is what I wrote exactly a month ago, on 8 February 2024, on this subject:
“On Antena 3 certain documents are being presented which say plainly that the measure of including Roșia Montană in the UNESCO heritage ‘gravely undermines Romania’s position’… BEFORE THE HANDING DOWN OF THE DECISION FROM WASHINGTON!!!
Might not the debating of this grave question LESS THAN ONE DAY BEFORE THE HANDING DOWN OF THE DECISION itself be of a nature to ‘gravely undermine Romania’s position’?
Is not this debate, in this at least ‘defeatist’ tone, itself a plea against Romania’s interests, an implicit support for Romania’s adversaries?
Normally one ought to have pleaded for Romania to the very end… or simply to have kept silent, at least until tomorrow!
