On the Security Men Who Cry “The Security Men!”
I come back to it and I say it again: invariably, every single time we speak with arguments about the necessity of revising the Constitution, up pops a pack of barkers who put on that same old record — “if we tamper with the Constitution the Hungarians will take Transylvania from us”, or that “we shall lose our sovereignty, and/or our rights”… or all of it together, if we change anything in the Constitution!!!
The “spontaneous” appearance of the barkers and of the other alarmist trumpets is not accidental — obviously! For this is an old Securitate manoeuvre — since it has been sociologically demonstrated that the obsessive repetition of a lie takes on the appearance of a truth! Example: it was exactly the same with the manipulation about “Dragnea gets off” at the referendum on the family, for it was said at the time that if one voted YES at the referendum on the question of introducing into the Constitution the provision concerning “the natural family”/“the traditional family” — then “Dragnea would get off”. Dragnea did not get off, but neither do we have the traditional family regulated and protected in the Constitution… and the lie remained a lie, yet not just any sort of lie: a destructive one!
It is the same now… we are attacked with lies that are gross and stupid, but that hold, that catch on with “the people”. For the System knows perfectly well what to do and how to do it… it is paid handsomely enough out of our money!
In reality, all the things trumpeted above by the barkers, and others like them, can NEVER be revised BY ANYONE — including the matters touching upon unity, independence, national sovereignty, territorial integrity or the rights of citizens.
That is written expressly in Art. 152 of the Constitution (a Constitution one ought to read at least once before saying anything at all about it, and all the more so about “the dangers of revision”!):
“Article 152
Limits of revision
(1) The provisions of this Constitution concerning the national, independent, unitary and indivisible character of the Romanian State, the republican form of government, the integrity of the territory, the independence of the judiciary, political pluralism and the official language shall not be subject to revision.
(2) Likewise, no revision may be made if it results in the suppression of the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, or of the guarantees thereof.”
That is why — so that those matters mentioned in Art. 152 of the Romanian Constitution may NEVER be altered — I have always said that we need a revision and NOT a new Constitution, in which EVERYTHING could be put up for discussion again. And WE DO NOT WANT THAT!
So it is enough to read the Constitution once to realise that these are the fuses lit by the Securitate men to prevent us, simple citizens, from doing WHAT WE MUST DO!
So I do not know whether those who circulate the ideas about “the dangers of revising the Constitution” are Securitate men… possibly, indeed probably! But I know for certain that, if they are not Securitate men, they are useful idiots circulating “their” slogans and playing the System’s game!
That is why, in order to counter the manoeuvres of the little Securitate men and of the useful idiots, we ask you too to take part in this so very necessary debate (DO NOT FORGET — on 25.01.2023, from 6 p.m., we meet at the Coffee House for the Nation, at Str. Petru Cercel no. 1, Sector 4, Bucharest).
For no, we do not know whether we shall get as far as gathering signatures, we do not know whether we shall manage to gather at least 500 thousand signatures or whether, once gathered, we shall table the revision project in Parliament. We shall decide all that together.
What I do know for certain is that we must identify and discuss the causes that have brought us to the situation we are in, that we must have the courage to discuss them and the strength to find solutions… we — simple citizens, together: our solutions to our problems!

POST SCRIPTUM: not a few have reproached me with having myself said, I no longer know how many months ago, that it is NOT #TheCoalitionOfTreason that should carry out the revision! I say the same today. For I am convinced that they, the traitors in power, would amend even Articles 74 and 150 of the Romanian Constitution — those articles which give the Romanian citizen the possibility of legislative initiative and, respectively, of initiative to revise the Constitution. Those we shall not touch — God forbid! — for it was on their basis that we wrote both #TheSovereigntyLaw and #TheConstitutionOfSovereignty.
But WE, THE PEOPLE, must revise the Constitution!
That is, if we still want to have a future.
If we want to leave our descendants something behind us.
